System Inspection

Shutter Valve Actuator Protector Removal:

1. Warm engine to operating temperature and run at idle.
2. Remove shutter valve actuator protector.
3. Check that shutter valve actuator rod is extended at idle.

Shutter Valve Actuator Rod Extension:

4. Gradually increase engine speed and check that rod is pulled into shutter valve actuator above approximately 3700 rpm.
5. Continue to increase engine speed and check that rod again extends above approximately 5750 rpm.
