Variable Induction Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Shutter Valve Assembly:

1. Remove VRIS valve and solenoid valve cover from front of dynamic chamber.

2. Disconnect actuator from valve lever and remove actuator.

3. Disconnect vacuum hoses from solenoid valve, and remove solenoid valve and bracket.

4. Remove the four nuts holding the shutter valve into the dynamic chamber, and emove valve.

Install in reverse order.

INSTALLATION NOTES

1. Use a new gasket when re-installing valve, and make sure valve moves smoothly and freely before installing actuator.

2. Tighten nuts and bolts to the specified torque.

6 - 8 ft.lbs (8 - 11 Nm)
