In Dynamic Chamber
Intake Air Thermosensor Testing:
1. Disconnect thermosensor connector.
2. Check resistance across sensor terminals.
3. Check that resistance corresponds to these values:
K OHMS AIR TEMP.
37.3 - 45.6 20°C / 68°F
10.5 - 12.9 50°C / 122°F
3.1 - 3.8 85°C / 185°F
4. As an alternate method, remove sensor and place in a container of water with a thermometer.
5. Connect an ohmmeter across sensor terminals and slowly heat water.
6. Check that resistance varies according to the table above.
7. If not as specified, replace sensor with a new washer and torque to 61 - 78 inlb (6.9 - 8.8 Nm).
