DESCRIPTION





To ensure proper operation, it is essential to lubricate the hood latching mechanism on all Mazda vehicles at every routine service interval. Refer to Figure 1 for lubrication points. *

NOTE:
^ Use a spray lubricant rather than grease.

^ After lubricating ensure smooth operation without sticking.

^ Be sure the secondary latch prevents the hood from opening when the primary latch is released.
