Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

Fig. 3 Instrument Cluster Removal:

1. Prior to disconnecting battery ground cable, deactivate audio system anti-theft, if equipped, refer to Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Service and Repair.
2. Disarm airbag, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
3. Remove steering column support bolts, then lower steering column.
4. Remove meter hood, Fig. 3.
5. Remove cluster attaching bolts, pull cluster rearward and disconnect speedometer cable and electrical connectors.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
