Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Throttle Sensor:
^ The Throttle Sensor, attached to the throttle body, provides the ECU with a throttle fully closed or throttle fully open signal by means of separate contacts within the sensor.
^ Sensor is rotated by and in conjunction with the throttle shaft so that sensor and shaft positions correspond when the sensor is properly adjusted.
^ At intermediate throttle positions (between fully closed and fully opened), neither sensor contact provides the ECU with a signal.
