Fig. 5 Removing Front Stabilizer. Models w/4 Wheel Steering:
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove parts in numerical order, Fig. 5.
3. Check stabilizer for bending or damage, stabilizer bushings for deterioration or wear, retainers and spacers for bending or damage, bushings for deterioration or wear and bolts for bending or damage. Repair or replace as necessary.
4. Reverse removal procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Align stabilizer bracket bushing with installation position line on stabilizer and install so that notch faces rear of chassis.
b. Mount brackets of stabilizer first and loosely tighten them. After mounting control links, torque brackets to specification with vehicle on ground and unloaded.
c. Tighten link nut so that there is .79 inch (20.1)mm of thread exposed.
