GROANING NOISE FROM THE FRONT BRAKES

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may experience a loud groaning noise from the front brakes during medium to hard braking.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

A front brake pad set is now available for groaning noise complaints. Thoroughly inspect the brake system for all conditions which may cause a loud groaning noise, such as incorrect adjustments, worn parts, etc.

If the brake system is in good operating condition and the loud groaning noise still exists, replace the front brake pads and attachment kit. Removal and installation procedures are outlined in Section P of the applicable Workshop Manual.
