Self Diagnostic System:






The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) is located in the instrument panel. If the ECU detects a monitored device malfunction, the MIL will stay "ON" with the engine running and self-diagnosis check (test) connector not grounded. If the connector is grounded, the MIL will flash malfunction codes corresponding to the defective input/output devices and/or their circuits. If there is more than one failure present, the lowest number malfunction code is displayed first, followed by remaining codes in numerical order.
