Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with airbag, disarm airbag, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair.
2. On models not equipped with airbag, disconnect battery ground cable.
3. On all models, raise and support vehicle.
4. Disconnect starter motor electrical connectors.
5. Remove starter motor bolts and starter motor from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install, torque starter motor attaching bolts to 23-34 ft. lbs.
