Ignition Switch: Testing and Inspection
Ignition switch "START" signal can be checked at ECU. While cranking, terminal voltage should be approximately 10V. With ignition switch "ON," voltage should be 0V. If voltage is always 0V (starter operates), check for open or short circuit in wiring from starter interlock switch (USA M/T), ignition switch (Canada M/T), or inhibitor switch (A/T) to ECU.
