1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheels.
2. Remove lower arm in numbered sequence, Figs. 5 and 6.

3. Using tools shown in Fig. 7, remove lower arm front bushing.

Fig. 8 Lower Arm Front Bushing Installation:

4. Using tools shown in Fig. 8, install lower arm front bushing. Press in bushing in direction of arrow.
5. Inspect lower ball joint as follows:
a. With lower arm in vise, attach preload measuring tool No. 490180510B or equivalent. With ball stud rotating, pull scale should read 4.4-7.7 ft. lbs. If pull scale reading is not as specified, replace ball joint.
6. Assemble lower arm reversing numbered sequence, Figs. 5 and 6.
