1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheels.
2. Remove undercover.
3. Remove stabilizer bar in numbered sequence, Figs. 10 and 11, noting the following:
a. On 2WD models, remove nuts of steering gearbox mounting bracket, then move gearbox forward.
b. On all models, install engine holding fixture No. 49G0175A0 or equivalent, then remove crossmember.
4. Install stabilizer reversing numbered sequence, Figs. 10 and 11, noting the following:
a. On 2WD models, align bushing with line painted on stabilizer bar.
b. Tighten stabilizer nut until .67-.75 inch of threads is exposed at end of bolt.
