Neutral Safety Switch: Testing and Inspection
Inhibitor Switch Testing:
1. Disconnect inhibitor switch connector.
2. Check continuity across terminals as described on image chart.
3. If not correct, adjust inhibitor switch and recheck. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
4. If correct adjustment and continuity specifications cannot be obtained, replace switch.
Inhibitor switch input voltage can be checked at ECU terminal 1R with ignition "ON." In "N" or "P" range terminal voltage should be below 1.5V. In other ranges, voltage should be approximately 12V.
