Toe-In

FRONT

1. Remove the steering gear boot clamp.
2. Loosen the left and right tie rod locknuts, then turn each of the tie rods the same amount. To increase the toe-in, turn the right tie rod toward the front of the vehicle and the left one the same amount toward the rear of the vehicle. One turn of the tie rod (one side) changes the toe-in about 0.28 inch (7mm). Adjust the toe-in after adjusting the steering angle.
3. Torque the tie rod locknuts to 51-72 ft. lbs., then ensure the boot is not twisted.
4. Install boot clamp.

REAR

The rear toe-in setting must be adjusted to maintain a thrust angle of -1/3 to +1/3. 0° is preferred. If the thrust angle is not within specification, check the body dimensions.
To adjust the rear toe-in, follow the front toe-in procedure.
