Hold Pressure

Fuel Pump Hold Pressure Check:






NOTE: Perform this inspection if fuel pressure hold inspection is not as specified.

WARNING:Before performing this procedure, release fuel pressure.

1. Disconnect battery negative terminal.
2. Connect fuel pressure gauge to main fuel pipe and plug gauge outlet as shown.
3. Connect battery.
4. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with jumper wire.
5. Turn ignition ON for 10 seconds to operate fuel pump.
6. Observe gauge pressure after 5 minutes. It should be more than 50 psi (340 kPa).
7. If not as specified, replace pump.
