DESCRIPTION
Vehicles with hard to operate window regulators may have twisted glass guides. The glass guide may have been twisted during assembly which causes the window to bind during operation. To prevent this condition, a spacer has been placed in the door body which prevents the glass guide from twisting.

NOTE:
Replacing the window regulator will not correct this problem.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Remove the door trim and loosen the upper and lower glass guide installation nuts.

2. Pull the glass guide toward the inner door panel and slightly tighten the lower glass guide installation nut.

NOTE:
There should be no twist in the glass guide after tightening the lower installation nut.

3. Insert a spacer (approx. 33 - 35 mm wide) between the door panel and the glass guide as shown in the illustration.

4. Tighten the lower glass guide installation nut pulling the nut toward the inner door panel.

5. Remove the spacer, test window and if necessary, adjust the glass guide.
