Mainshaft Inspection





1. Measure the mainshaft runout as shown.

Mainshaft runout:
Maximum runout: 0.03 mm (0.0012 in)

^ If not as specified, replace the mainshaft.
2. Inspect splines for damage or wear. Replace the mainshaft if any such damage is found.
3. Measure the clearance between mainshaft and gear (or bushing).

Clearance between mainshaft and gear (or bushing):
Maximum clearance: 0.15 mm (0.006 in)

^ If not as specified, replace the mainshaft.
