Idle Speed: Adjustments
NOTE: Because idle speed is ECU controlled, checking and adjustment is not usually needed. However, idle speed should be adjusted when rough idling occurs with test connector grounded.PREPARATION
1. Check engine condition (spark plugs, vacuum hoses, etc.)
2. Make sure all accessories are "OFF."
3. Warm up engine and run for 3 minutes at 2500 - 3000 rpm.
4. Check timing and adjust if needed.
ADJUSTMENT
1. Ground test connector with jumper wire.

2. Check idle speed for these specifications:
750 ± 25 rpm (M/T in neutral, A/T in "P")
3. If idle speed is not within specification, adjust by turning air adjusting screw.

4. After adjustment, disconnect test connector jumper wire.
