Inspection Procedure

1. Slide rearward and recline both front seats.

2. Sit in the driver's seat and attach each lap belt in the appropriate buckles.

3. Close both front doors and turn the ignition switch ON to ramp the shoulder belt assemblies rearward to the set position.

4. Slowly pull the driver's side belt outward (0.5 inch per second) while observing the warning light. Retract at the same rate of speed and watch the dash warning light for illumination. Repeat three (3) times on each side (driver's and passenger's).

^ If the dash light illuminates (even monetarily) replace the retractor switch as outlined in the Repair Procedure.

^ If the light does not illuminate, refer to wiring diagram for repair information.
