Ignition Cable: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
Ignition wires conduct high secondary voltage from coils to each spark plug in proper sequence.
LOCATION
Between coil assembly and spark plugs.
OPERATION
Built-in internal resistance (16K ohms per meter) functions to suppress radio static and eliminate interference with computerized components and sensors.
CONSTRUCTION
Wires are constructed with a carbon impregnated, multi-filament synthetic fiber core. To endure under hood temperatures, core is surrounded by heat resistant rubber insulation.
