Component Tests
On these models, steering wheel may sit slightly off center, even though vehicle tracks in straight line without pulling. To correct this condition, proceed as follows:1. Drive vehicle on a straight, flat road.
2. If wheel is off center, measure circumference distance between neutral position and centered position.
3. If distance is more than 1.18 inches, remove wheel and install in proper position.
4. If wheel is still not centered, measure again.
5. If distance is less than 1.18 inches, loosen both right and lefthand tie rod end nuts. Turn rods equal amounts in opposite directions until wheel is centered.
