Remove clutch in numbered sequence, Fig. 3, noting the following:
1. To remove clutch cover, proceed as follows:
a. Install flywheel holding fixture tool No. 49E301060 and centering tool No. 49SE01310, or equivalents.
b. Loosen each bolt one turn at a time in a crisscross pattern until spring tension is released.
c. Remove clutch cover and disc.
2. Remove pilot bearing with puller tool No. 491285071 and bearing removal tool No. 491285073, or equivalents.
3. Replace flywheel mounting bolts in numbered sequence, Fig. 4.
4. Install pilot bearing flush with flywheel.
5. Turn bearing while applying outward force. If bearing stick or has excessive resistance, replace bearing.
6. Measure thickness of lining on clutch disc. Minimum thickness is 0.012 inch.
7. Using dial indicator, measure clutch disc runout. Maximum runout is 0.027 inch.
8. Using dial indicator, measure flywheel runout. Maximum runout is 0.008 inch.
9. Reverse procedure to install. Torque flywheel bolts to 71 - 76 ft.lb. and clutch cover bolts to 13 - 20 ft.lb.
