DESCRIPTION
A noise may occur when the sunroof "tilt" function is operated.
This is caused by insufficient clearance between the position plate and pin or the rear guide and the frame. This insufficient clearance causes the rear guide to stick and slip during operation.
To eliminate the noise, the rear guide has been modified.
Customers complaining of this noise should have the vehicle inspected and, if necessary, the rear guide replaced with a modified part.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify abnormal noise when the sunroof is tilted up or down.
2. Replace right and left rear guide assemblies with modified parts. Refer to pages 5-63 - 5-69 of the 1994 Workshop Manual.
3. Verify the noise level and operation of the sunroof.
