Cylinder Head

1. Inspect cylinder head for damage, cracks, water/oil leaks and repair as required.
2. Using a suitable straightedge, measure cylinder head distortion. If distortion exceeds 0.004 inch (0.1 mm), grind cylinder head surface. Grinding limit is 0.006 inch (0.15 mm).
3. If cylinder head height is not 5.701 - 5.716 inches (144.8 - 145.2 mm), replace it.
4. Using a suitable straightedge, measure manifold contact surface distortion. If distortion exceeds 0.006 inch (0.15 mm), grind surface or replace cylinder head.
