Load Test

1. Connect ammeter between terminal B wire and terminal B of alternator, Fig. 7.
2. Turn all vehicle accessories on and depress brake pedal.
3. Start engine and increase engine speed to 2,500 - 3,000 RPM. Ensure alternator minimum output is as specified under Alternator Specifications.
4. If current is not as specified, alternator has internal problems and should be replaced.
