DESCRIPTION
When disassembling an ECAT transmission or removing the valve body the locking tab on the solenoid harness male connectors may break These connectors are now available as repair pans and harness replacement is unnecessary

NOTE:
Service Managers should place a copy of the attached coupler replacement procedures in the appropriate section of the workshop manual.





PARTS INFORMATION

CONNECTOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE





1. Remove terminal holder.
^ Insert a suitable tool between the rear holder and the connector housing (near the locking tab).
^ Pry the tool downward to lift the holder and unhook it





2. Pull terminals out.
^ Insert a suitable tool into the housing (from the wire end) between the terminal and the locking tab.
^ Lift the locking tab and pull the terminal from the connector housing.

CAUTION:
Take care not to damage terminal.
Do not pull the terminal forcefully, if the terminal is not removed when lightly pulled, repeat the steps above.





3. Insert female terminals.
^ Insert the terminal in the correct direction until it snaps into place.
^ Confirm that the terminal is locked in place.

NOTE:
If the rear holder is hard to insert, the terminal may be inserted improperly.
