DESCRIPTION
On some vehicles, the door grip(s), which is part of the switch panel, may exhibit cracking. This condition is due to weak material on the door grip(s) which cracks under the pulling force when closing the door(s). Any of the four (4) doors may exhibit this condition.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
If this condition exists, replace the affected switch panel(s) with the part listed under Parts Information. This part has been modified to reduce the possibility of cracking. Removal and installation of the switch panel are outlined in section S of the applicable workshop manual. When removing the door grip from the switch panel (all doors), be sure not to break the copper strip. This copper strip provides the static electricity drain feature on the 929.
