Torque Converter

NOTE: The torque converter is welded together and cannot be disassembled.




Inspection
1. Check the outside of the converter for damage and cracks. Replace the torque converter if there are any problems.
2. Check for rust on the pilot hub or the boss. Remove any rust completely.




Washing inside the converter

CAUTION: Do not muse the ATF.

1. Drain all ATF remaining in the converter.
2. Pour in ATF (2.0 liters, 2.1 US qt, 1.8 Imp qt)
3. Shake the converter to clean the inside. Pour out the ATF.
4. Pour in ATF again.
5. Shake the converter to clean the inside. Pour out the ATF.
