AFFECTED VINS

This bulletin applies to 1992-93 models with a VIN of JM1EC43 * * P0200014 or lower produced through June 30, 1992.

This bulletin does not apply to 1993 models with a VIN equal to or greater than of JM1EC43 * * P02000 15 and produced after June 30, 1992.

DESCRIPTION





On some vehicles, the carpet mat may move out of position and may come out of the scuff plate resulting in unsightly appearance.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

A felt pad and a metal clip have been established as service parts.

1. Remove the scuff plate and side kick panel.





2. Fold back the carpet to gain access to the floorboard area. Figure 1.





3. Place the felt pad on the floorboard underneath the carpet. Use one felt pad per side. Figure 2.





4. Install the metal clip on the carpet mat and hook it to the body flange. Figure 3.

5. Reinstall the scuff plate and side kick panel.
