Inspection Procedure

For EC-AT tester body (49 G019 901 B)




1. Disconnect the engine control unit connectors. [B6 SOHC (except California)] Disconnect the EC-AT control unit connectors. [B6 SOHC (California) and K8 DOHC]
2. Assemble the SST. Assembly of Tester




3. Set the EC-AT Selector switch to position 3.
4. Set the EC-AT Tester vehicle switch to 323 position.
5. Set the EC-AT Tester select switch to position A.
6. Turn ON the ignition switch and the EC-AT Tester main switch.
7. Verify indication of the respective light or digital display in each condition, referring to the indication table.

For EC-AT tester body (49 G019 901) and adapter unit (49 H019 902)




1. Disconnect the engine control unit connectors. [B6 SOHC (except California)]
Disconnect the EC-AT control unit connectors.
[B6 SOHC (California) and K8 DOHC]
2. Assemble the SST.




3. Set the EC-AT Selector switch to position 3.
4. Set the adapter unit vehicle switch to 323 position.
5. Set the adapter unit select switch to position A.
6. Turn ON the ignition switch and the EC-AT Tester main switch.

7. Verify indication of the respective light or digital display in each condition, referring to the indication table.


Comprehensive test
The SST (EC-AT Tester) is used to inspect for slippage of friction elements, and to check the shift points and shift sequence of the transaxle.
The following inspections must be done while driving the vehicle.
