Pulse Generator

Inspection
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the resonance duct and the air cleaner assembly.
3. Disconnect the pulse generator connector.
4. Measure resistance between the terminals E and F of the pulse generator.

Resistance: 200 - 400 Ohm

5. If not correct, replace the pulse generator.
6. Install the air cleaner assembly and the resonance duct.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.




Replacement
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the resonance duct, air cleaner assembly, battery cover, battery, and the battery carrier.
3. Disconnect the pulse generator connector.
4. Remove the bolt and remove the pulse generator.
5. Apply ATF to a new O-ring and install it and the new pulse generator.

Tightening torque: 7.5 - 11 N.m (80 - 110 kg.cm, 69 - 95 in.lb)

6. Connect the pulse generator connector.
7. Install the battery carrier, battery, battery cover, air cleaner assembly, and the resonance duct.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
