Description

The EC-AT self-diagnosis system integrated in the EC-AT control unit (includes engine control unit for B6 SOHC model except California) diagnosis malfunctions of the main sensors (input), solenoid valves (output), and the control unit itself. Malfunctions or intermittent malfunctions are memorized in the engine control unit to be output later as service codes.

The System Selector and EC-AT Tester or Self-Diagnosis Checker are used to retrieve these service codes. Each malfunction is indicated by a code number and a buzzer.

The DT-S1000 displays a code number and shows the possible cause of the malfunction.
