Checking Throttle Sensor Adjustment:

Adjusting Throttle Sensor:

1. Unplug sensor connector.
2. Connect an ohmmeter across terminals IDL and E as shown.
3. Insert 0.006 in (0.15 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stopper screw and throttle valve lever. Meter should show continuity.
4. Insert 0.020 in (0.5 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stopper screw and throttle valve lever. Meter should show no continuity.
5. If not as specified, loosen sensor mounting screws.
6. Insert 0.006 in (0.15 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stopper screw and throttle valve lever. Rotate sensor clockwise approximately 30°, then rotate back counterclockwise until there is continuity.
7. Replace gauge with 0.020 in (0.50 mm) feeler gauge and check that there is no continuity.
6. Tighten mounting screws to 14 - 20 in lb (1.6 - 2.3 Nm) and plug in connector.
