Warning Light Stays on

1. Ensure there is 12 volts present at terminal L of alternator. If not, repair wiring harness.
2. Ensure no-load output current inspection is good; refer to No-Load Test. If not, check for rotor coil malfunction.
3. Ensure load output current inspection is good. If not, check for stator coil, diodes or wiring harness malfunction between B terminal and battery + terminal.
4. Ensure output voltage inspection is good, refer to Output Voltage Test. If not, inspect IC regulator and wiring between terminal S and L and battery are functioning properly
5. If preceding steps did not expose a problem, check for poor connection of battery ground cable or poor connection between alternator and battery positive cable.
