Main Relay (Computer/Fuel System): Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Supplies power to the ECU and a number of ECU controlled devices when the ignition is ON.

LOCATION
Relay panel at right rear corner of engine compartment.

OPERATION
This is an ON/OFF solenoid power switch. When the ignition is ON, it supplies power to the ECU, crank angle sensor, fuel injectors, and a variety of solenoid valves. The ECU energizes these devices by completing the circuit to ground.
