DESCRIPTION

Paint damage may occur on the body at the rear corners of the trunk opening. This is caused by the trunk lid rubber cushions contacting the rear corners of the body and peeling the paint. This can result in rust.

Customers complaining of this subject should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, use the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify the concern.

2. Completely remove the rust at the cushion area and repaint as needed.





3. Install the two pieces of protector tape over the contact area of the body as shown in the illustration.

4. Verify repair.
