AUDIO ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM

When activated, the anti-theft system is triggered if the electrical power source is disconnected from the audio unit. If the system is triggered, the radio unit will be inoperative when reconnected to a power supply, and "code" will flash on the display until the preselected code number is input. If the anti-theft system is activated, reset the unit as described under "Canceling Anti-theft Operation" in Testing and Inspection Procedures.

The anti-theft system is triggered under the following conditions if the system protection has been activated.

1. A battery cable is disconnected.
2. Battery is discharged.
3. Audio unit connectors are disconnected.
