Engine Stand Mounting



MOUNTING

Procedure
When using Special Service Tool (SST) (49 E010 1A0)
1. Remove the insulator (RH).
2. Remove the EGR valve bolts.
3. Remove the warm up three way catalytic converter (RH) and gasket together with the EGR valve and pipe





4. Install the SST at the positions as shown.





5. Mount the engine on the SST.
6. Drain the coolant.


When using SST (49 E010 1A1 and 49 L010 1A0)
1. Remove the insulator (RH).
2. Remove the EGR valve bolts.
3. Remove the warm up three way catalytic converter (RH) and gasket together with the EGR valve and pipe.





4. Install the SSTs as shown.





5. Install the SST (arms) to the holes as shown, and hand tighten the SST (bolts).





6. Assemble the SSTs (bolts, nuts and plate) as shown.





7. Install the SST assembled in step 6 to the SST installed in step 5.
8. Adjust the SST (bolts) so that less than 20 mm (0.79 inch) of thread is exposed.
9. Make the SST (plate and arms) parallel by adjusting the length of the bolts.
10. Tighten the SST (bolts and nuts) to affix the SST firmly.
11. Mount the engine on the SST (engine stand).
12. Drain the coolant.
