1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
2. Check wheel bearing endplay as follows:
a. Position dial indicator against hub cap as shown in Fig. 1.
b. Push and pull brake disc plate by hand in axial direction and measure endplay.
c. If endplay exceeds .0079 inch (2mm), replace wheel bearing.
3. Remove hub cap and locknut, Fig. 4.
4. Disconnect parking brake cable, then remove caliper assembly, disc plate, and dust cover.
5. Disconnect control link and wheel speed sensor.
6. Remove stabilizer bracket, then disconnect tie rod end at knuckle spindle.
7. Remove knuckle spindle to shock absorber mounting bolts and the knuckle spindle.
8. Using pressing tools, remove bearing assembly from disc plate. Do not remove hub bolts and/or sensor rotor unless necessary.
9. Reverse procedure to install. If hub bolts and/or sensor rotor were removed, do not reuse.
