DESCRIPTION

A procedure has been developed for the installation of the front license plate bracket. Follow the instructions outlined below for proper license plate bracket installation.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. The front bumper has two (2) small dimples to help locate the license plate bracket installation nuts. These nuts are located behind the bumper skin. Figure 1.






2. Drill an 8-10 mm (0.31-0.39 in.) diameter hole, 4 mm (0.15 in.) deep, through each dimple in the front bumper skin. Figure 2.

CAUTION:
Drilling too deep may result in damage to the mounting nuts.






3. Install the license plate holder to the bumper using the two (2) 6 mm bolts provided. Figure 3.

4. Install the license plate (with the protector) to the license plate holder. Figure 3.

NOTE:

^ The license plate holder, protector and the two 6 mm bolts that affix the holder to the bumper are found in the trunk area.

^ The two bolts (approximately 6 mm in diameter and 15-20 mm in length) that are required for installation of the license plate and protector are not provided and must be obtained from your local supplier.
