DESCRIPTION
Insufficient cooling (warm air) that occurs during A/C operation may be caused by A/C relay failure. Described below (by engine type) are additional symptoms of this concern.
4 Cylinder Engine:
^ No Power to A/C Compressor Clutch Coil
^ Short at 40amp A/C Fuse
6 Cylinder Engine:
^ Continuous A/C Compressor Operation
The A/C relay is redesigned to prevent this problem. If a customer complains of this concern inspect the vehicle according to this bulletin and repair if necessary.
NOTE:
Procedures in the 1993 and 1994 BETM are incorrect. Revised instructions will follow. The 1995 BETM contains correct instructions.

A/C Relay is located inside the engine compartment.
^ The circuit between terminals "C" and "E" contains a diode (D3). Check for continuity from "C" to "E" and no continuity from "E" to "C".
