Description

A rattle or squeak from the top rear portion of the driver's or passenger's side door while driving may be caused by insufficient lubricant on the body side of the door weatherstrip.

Repair Procedure

If a rattle or squeak is heard, follow the procedures listed below to correct the problem.

1. Spray a silicone lubricant on the affected portion of weatherstrip.

NOTE:
Use a spray lubricant instead of a grease.

2. Allow lubricant to remain on weatherstrip rubber for three to four minutes.

3. Wipe away excess lubricant with a cloth.

4. Test drive the vehicle to ensure the condition no longer exists.
