      Or every 5 months, whichever occurs first. Lubricate all locks and hinges.
Tighten/Torque
    Body and Frame
      Or every 12 months, whichever occurs first. Check all chassis/body nuts and bolts, torque as necessary.
Inspect
    Heating and Air Conditioning
      Inspect air conditioning refrigerant level and compressor operation annually.
    Emission Control Systems
      California B6 SOHC only. Inspect hose and emission tube. Inspect fittings and connections.
    Disc Brake System
      Or every 15 months, whichever occurs first. Inspect rotors, pads for wear or damage, and calipers for leakage and operation.
    Air Filter Element
      Or every 30 months, whichever occurs first. Extremely dusty conditions may require more frequent service of this component.
Replace
    Timing Belt
      For California B6 SOHC engines, this maintenance is recommended by Mazda. However, it is not necessary for emission warranty coverage or manufacturer recall liability.
    Oil Filter, Engine
      Or every 5 months, whichever occurs first.
    Fuel Supply Line
      Or every 84 months, whichever occurs first. Inspect fittings, connections and components for leaks. California B6 SOHC only.
    Engine Oil
      Or every 5 months, whichever occurs first.
