Hold Pressure

System Pressure Check:

WARNING: Before performing this procedure, release fuel pressure.


1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2. Install pressure gauge.
3. Reconnect battery.
4. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with jumper wire.
5. To run pump, turn ignition "ON" for 10 seconds.
6. Turn ignition "OFF" and remove jumper wire.
7. After 5 minutes, fuel pressure should be more than:

PRESSURE: 21 psi (147 kPa)

8. If not as specified, check:
^ Fuel pump hold pressure
^ Pressure regulator hold pressure
^ Injector leakage
