Installation

1. Using a suitable press and tool Nos. 49F026102 and 490259748, or equivalents, press new wheel bearing into bearing housing.
2. Install snap ring and dust cover.
3. Using a suitable press and tool No. 49F026102, or equivalent, press in wheel hub.
4. Mount wheel hub and knuckle onto driveshaft, then place knuckle onto rear axle casing.
5. Torque bolts A to 46 - 69 ft.lb., bolts B to 82 - 111 ft.lb.
6. On models with anti-lock brake system, install speed sensor and adjust clearance between speed sensor and sensor rotor. Clearance should be 0.016 - 0.039 inch.
7. Install disc plate and caliper assembly. Tighten caliper attaching bolts to specification.
8. Depress brake pedal to secure disc plate, then tighten locknut to specification.
9. Using a dial indicator, measure wheel bearing play. Wheel bearing play should be 0.004 inch or less. If play exceeds specified amount, replace wheel bearing.
10. Stake driveshaft locknut onto driveshaft groove.
