Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Testing and Inspection
PCV Testing:
1. Warm engine to operating temperature and run at idle.
2. Disconnect PCV valve with ventilation hose.
3. Block valve opening and verify vacuum is felt.
4. Remove valve. Blow through port A and verify air exits port B.
5. Blow through port B and verify no air flow from port A.
6. If not as specified, replace valve.
7. Always inspect hoses and replace as needed.
