Operational Check

Fuel Pump Operation Check:

1. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with a jumper wire.
2. Remove fuel filler cap and turn ignition ON.
3. Listen for pump operational sound at fuel filler. Install cap.
4. If no sound is heard, measure voltage between fuel pump connector wire B/P and ground. It should be battery voltage.
5. If not, check fuel pump relay and related circuits.
6. If voltage is okay, check for continuity between fuel pump connector B/P and B.
7. If there is continuity, replace pump.
8. If there is no continuity, repair ground circuit.
