Key on Engine Off (KOEO) Self-Test

KOEO Self-Test:

1. Check vacuum hoses for damage and proper connection.
2. Check EEC system wiring harness for proper connection.
3. Repair any problems detected.
4. Apply parking brake and place shift lever in P range.
5. Block drive wheels.
6. Turn off all electrical loads.
7. Connect appropriate test equipment to self-test connector in order to run self-test.
8. Start engine and warm to operating temperature.
9. Turn engine off and wait 10 seconds.
10. Set EEC-IV/MECS switch to position EEC-IV.
11. Select fast codes mode with the mode selector switch.
12. Turn on power to Super Star II tester. Tester will briefly display 888. It will also light all the prompts on lthe left side of the display and the speaker will beep.
13. Depress test button to test position.
14. Turn on ignition.
15. Record displayed trouble codes.
