Manual Transaxle

PURPOSE
Provides vehicle speed signal to PCME for calculations requiring this input. On ATX models, a speed pulse generator sends a signal used by the speedometer to detect speed. On MTX models, the signal originates with the sensor in the speedometer assembly.

LOCATION
Instrument cluster with speedometer. On ATX models, the speed pulse generator is on the transaxle bell housing.
